okay so my natural hair color is light brown.

i dyed it black.

and then my roots started growing with my natural hair color.

then i dyed it dark brown.

and it didn't get the roots.

i want to dye it black again.

but idk if its going to get the roots.

When you start seeing your natural color show through, you start at the roots, let it sit for the specified time, then spread it to the rest of your hair. This will ensure you get the roots and make sure the ends don't become over-processed.

Just put some at the roots, then with your finger(gloved, of course) spread it up the hair an inch or so, then move on to the next section and repeat until it's all done. There should be instructions on the sheet inside the box of hair coloring. Follow their recommendations as each brand is a bit different.
