Tried carol's daughter hair products!?

i have natural hair - (no relaxers, hot combs, straighteners, curling irons...none of that for me), and i have been natural for the past two years.

i LOVE my hair natural and the texture is amazing because all these georgous curls are coming into formation and i love it!

however, i am thinking about switching hair products. i use hempz shampoo and conditioner, and i use ellin lavar styling products. i need something a little more hydrating for my curls.

have you tried carol's daughter!? im interested.

**please post only if you have information about "carol's daughter products"**

THANKS in advance!

Tried carol's daughter hair products!?

I went natural two years ago as well. What a coincidence. For the first year or so, I had a little hair growth and found it difficult to find a moisturizing, hair detangling shampoo and conditioner. But, I made every effort to take care of my hair. I wore silk rags, used Carol's Daughter, tried Giovanni, and did conditioner washes. Carol's Daughter hair milk is good, but my hair wouldn't grow pass my ears and my curls would not become defined. I have more coarse hair.

One day, one of my girlfriends, washed my hair with a Beauty 4 Ashes GodHead Silky Smooth All-Natural Shampoo. I immediately noticed a difference in my hair texture. My hair was softer, easier to comb, and more manageable. My curls were defined and, for lack of a better word, more separated. I couldn't believe it. I decided to try the shampoo and conditioner myself. I use them religiously. In one month, my hair grew 1 1/2 inches and because my hair is very coarse, having softer hair that grows was unheard for me. You can order it from www.discoverb4a.com. Go under the ethnic hair care section.

Hair color.?

I have very dark brown hair with blondish highlights. I don't like my highlights so i'm thinking of dying my hair. Should i dye all my hair a light choclate brown or should i just match the highlights to my natural hair color. I Don't like my color that much.

Hair color.?

When it comes to all of that I suggest going to a hair stylist. Sure you can do it yourself, but they should know what is the best option to take. I would say match the highlights closest to your natural color so that your hair isn't 20 different colors. That way it when the highlights fade out you can start all over new, although your hair may not be the same exact natural color for awhile. Good luck!

Hair color.?

hihglights with natural hair trust me i know your beutifull

Hair color.?

Well, if you're going to dye your hair then you should definately change colour and not just dye it your natural colour if you don't like it. Light chocolate brown would be very nice indeed. =]

Hair color.?

I have the same coloring. It is very difficult to go blond successfully. I used a semi permanent coloring(Natural Instincts). Their website can help you find the right color. I went darker brown and love it. I walk around like i'm Angelina Jolie or something. I will never fool aroung with trying to lighten my hair again.....after all, I was meant to be a brunette.

Is my hair color too light???

so i had my hair done on friday...i decided to put streaks in my hair..and this was my first time to color it..so i was pretty nervous..well i wanted to put dark brown streaks in my hair...but my aunt said that the color may not show as much because it will blend in with my natural hair color...so she made the color lighter..now i have a light sort of caramel streaks in my hair...

i think i look kind of wierd..because everyone says i look better with darker colors..does the color look alright..or do i look wierd and or should i change it?

heres a pic..where you can see me in the light

i look kind of orange because the light was really bright...LOL

but the color isnt as bright actually...

Is my hair color too light???

i love the way your hair was cut! the warm honey shade compliment your skins warm pink undertones nicely.

if you want to change it, go for a dark chocolate brown like this http://www.britishsupermarketworldwide.c... wait until this grows out a bit so your hair won't go fried.

hope this helps!

閳?br>Is my hair color too light???

Is my hair color too light???

No, it looks good!

Is my hair color too light???

I think it looks good. You just gotta get use to seeing yourself with the lighter streaks in your hair. I see nothing wrong with them.

3. it kinda looks like my friends and i think it looks good so yea..plus w/ some1 as pretty as u well yea u get the point.=D

Is my hair color too light???

I think it looks great!

Is my hair color too light???

being that you are of Asian decent you have what is considered as being blue/black hair color. From what I could see from the picture, the high-lights are way too light for your natural base color, go tell your auntie that she needs to tone you down with a level 5.3 toner. It will gradually fade and change as the weeks go on from shampooing it. You can certainly weave your hair if you want change, just keep your colors within their neighboring shades.

Is my hair color too light???

it looks great!

Is my hair color too light???

Well, your hair is black or a dark brown so you should have just left it a solid color or you could have streaked/highlight the whole hair instead of just a couple of streaks because when you only add a couple of highlights onto dark hair, it doesn't look as nice as doing the whole hair. If you wanted to put highlights in your hair then maybe you should dye your whole entire hair a medium or light brown and then make the highlights more of a golden blonde or a dark blonde. Something like this would look nice, you don't have to have this haircut but the color combination is what would fit best together when highlighting because it makes your hair look more natural: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2059/1564...

Is my hair color too light???

omg your soo pretty.....

and i love your hair like that..you shouldnt change it at all

and you take really beautiful pics..=]

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

My natural hair color is this very blah dark blond color.. I dyed them jet black and now looking to add more color..

I would like a dark eggplant color ..

If I dye them dark eggplant from a box what will it turn out as?

I dont want to strip my hair and in no way do I have means to go see a professional hair stylist..

Also it would take years to have them grow back my naturla hair color and I dont even like it so..

What will it turn out like if I dye them dark auburn/eggplant over balck hair with some natural brown highlights and roots?

thanks

p.s. I know my hair is a mess lol

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

That would be kool

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

never use a store bought color for something off beat only in desperate measures find a pro %26amp; pay the cost

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

Just don't hang out by the produce section - someone may try to place you in their cart.

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

it might be worth waiting and saving your money until you can go to a professional salon. My grandmother used to dye her own hair and once ended up turning it bright blue! (not on purpose, lol... I think she was shooting for auburn.) Anyway, things can turn out way different than you want them to, especially when you're dying hair that's already been dyed. Best take it to the professionals!

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

sounds cooool

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

your hair is not a mess but I will give you a few simple rule for hair coloring at home... if your hair is tinted already remember that artificial color/tint will not lift any other artificial color.... so applying eggplant over black is a waste of a perfectly good color... BUT... if you are daring and have a friend to help you you could always do a french fluff first... this is how... first shampoo your hair and rinse to remove any oil or product now whith your hair still wet take a mixed solution of off the scalp bleach like Clairol or Wella and mix a few scoops of bleach powder in a large hair color applicator bottle with 1/4 20 volume hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 water with a few good squirts of shampoo... put the lid on and put your finger over the applicator hole and mix gently until all the bleach powder is dissolved... then apply this quickly all over your head and then begin to shampoo it gently into your hair... have your friend keep an eye on it and as soon as it looks even the slightest bit red take it off by rinsing thoroughly and then shampooing again with regular shampoo, rinsing and then using a light conditioner to detangle it.. lightly towel dry and blow dry on a low heat setting before applying desired eggplant tint...

it's pretty involved so if you don't think that you can handle it see a professional

good luck

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

I went through a phase when I first permed my hair then went blond. After torturing my hair, I came full circle only to appreciate my beautiful natural hair color. People today are artificial hair color happy! Streaks, 2 tones... Yuck. God gave us such beautiful natural color... I just wish everybody would see that!

I saw a 12 or 13 year old boy with a total hair-dye job with the streaks... Just stupid!

There is just no substitute for a great cut with beautiful natural colored hair!

Don't get me started on shaved eyebrows that have been magic Sharpied-back-in!

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

Yes, I totally agree with you. I had been coloring my hair since I was about 12 or 13. I was made to feel that I was not good enough or pretty enough the way I was with my natural hair color, which is medium ash brunette. I was light blonde all through high school and into my mid 20's, I'm now 36 and up until recently had been dying my hair red. I started letting my natural hair color grow out, I had most of the red cut off and then had the red ends dyed back to brunette,it's not totally my natural color, but everything blends good enough to where I don't have to color anymore. My hair was so ruined from all dye . Natural hair is so much prettier and healthier then chemically altered hair. You can not do better then what God gave you. I'm tired of seeing all the blonde stripes and chunks in the hair and the yellow dry hair with dark roots. I hate those make over shows where they say "You NEED to color your hair." I HATE that!

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

ahhah i agree! i hate people who dye their hair blonde from black or dark brown...ICK roots

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

True, we all can't have what we want, right?

We have to learn to appreciate what we have and what we were born with.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

no

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

yes yes true. i feel 8 out of 10 people are using colour.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

yeah

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

even i have noticed that even my maid's son colours his hair!(he should be 14 yrs)i also understand that it is an expensive process.i wonder where he gets the money?people in the name of fashion really torture their hair-perm,straighten,curl,colour,bleach,... oil,steam...oh!!!pooor poor hair.i say just leave it free unless really needed any treatment.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

i hear you! i love my color! it's a carmel color kinda. it's blondish brownish. light brown. be happy with the color god gave you! if god wanted you to be a red head then you would be a red head~! but. i do pluck my eye brows now and then.lol. sorry! but anyway. i still think your right! why do people do this! what is going to be the next craz??? wearing green lipstick with blue hair!?!?!?

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

my hair gets soo frizzy after i shower, and it won't stay straight (which is my natural hair style.. or it was my natural hair =[...) should i stop tie-ing up my hair? curling my hair?

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

this happens to my hair ALL the time, and it makes me SO freakin' mad. all i do is use some lotion. make sure u dont put 2 much if ur hair is greesy like mine. but this will take away ANY fly aways and Frizzyness and curls! Good Luck閳?br>

i would reccomend using a non scented lotion. but u can find some lotions that smell really good in hair, so u could use those. i use Malibu Hemp lotion it smells tropical. its in a BIG brown (see through) bottle

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

heres a tip!

when you get out of the shower, blow dry your hair and when its dry, use a smoothing serum (try aveda.com) or ask your stylist for one! it smooths your hair and makes it extra soft!

%26lt;3

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

just use a little quantum of hair remover, and hold the other end of your hair. now take shower. do not worry about tir-ing ,cutting.problem solved.

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

Wash your hair as usual, and towel dry, before adding some straightening serum. I use Loreal one, the one in the pink bottle, but only use a small walnut sized blob, and apply to the ends of your hair, not the roots because that makes it greasy. Then blowdry your hair as you would normally straighten it, by tying up most of your hair and doing it layer by layer, and using a brush to keep it straight while you're blowdrying.

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

oh ya that happens to me too. i just use my fav hand lotion after drying with a hairdryer or towel, after a shower. just take some on your fingertips not much and sweep your hands through ur hair.its makes it shiny and nonfrizzy

HELP hair bleaching gone wrong!?

ok this is what happend...My sister had died her hair purple (a dark purple) *her natural hair colour is dark brown* and she wanted blonde hair. So we bleached it. well after bleaching it her roots went blonde but the rest of it went red. It looks like a fire *i think it looks kinda cool but its not my head* she hates it! and she wants it to be blonde. Dose anyone know how we can get the red out of her hair...she dosent care how we do it but i dont want to fry her hair..

PLEASE HELP!!!

HELP hair bleaching gone wrong!?

GO TO A PROFESSIONAL HAIR STYLIST IMMEDIATELY!! they can dye your hair with products they know will work and give u good tips. until then, i would recomend a hat

HELP hair bleaching gone wrong!?

Okay, the reason her roots went Blondie is because they were new growth with no color on them. How long was it between the color and the bleach? If it hasn't been 2 weeks then she will need to wait that long before doing anything to it. How does her hair feel? Is it dry, really soft, I mean spaghetti noodle soft. If it is either one of these then we want to keep the bleach off of it for at least six months, and tell her to get trims every 2 weeks during that six months. There are alto of treatments out there but the cold hard truth is if those ends are real damaged then cut it off is the only way to get rid of it. To get rid of the red you can get a semi-permanent color to cover it with and I still want promise you anything, but most the time it will cover it but you will have to put a dark brown over it to get it to cover. And then if the hair isn't damaged you can do the highlights like a cap frost and just do little streaks to kind of lighten it up Little, but I wouldn't do all over bleach at this time. You can do both of these in the same day because it is semi- permanent. It is very important that you make sure you use semi-permanent color. Other wise your gonna burn her hair up. Do this and like I said leave it along for a while. and let that color come off some.

HELP hair bleaching gone wrong!?

she definetly needs to be seen by a professional hairstylist. this is the worse thing that could happen. the red dye will not come out because the base to the purple hair dye is red. I've had the same problem only my hair turned carnation pink then I tried stripping the color out and it turned white it was horrible I had to shave my hair down to a low buzz and wait for it to grow back.

HELP hair bleaching gone wrong!?

Hmmm....If she's wild enough to dye it purple, cut it short so only the blonde is left, then dye it blonde. (HAHAHAHAHAHA) No more purple!

Dying my hair from brown to blonde...?

I've been dying my hair a darkish brown colour for the past few months, but now I want to go back to my natural hair colour, which is blonde.

I've checked out all the blonde dyes, and it says that the hair colour of dark brown just results in a lighter brown instead of blonde.

I can't let it just grow out...as much as I would love to, I don't want half of my hair being blonde and the other brown.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Dying my hair from brown to blonde...?

A drastic hair colour change like from brown to blonde will not turn out nicely if you do not strip your hair first. The stripping process is very damaging to hair and I would not recommend you do it unless you are completely unhappy with your hair as it is. The best thing to do is to gradually go back to your natural colour through highlighting your hair blonde, and adding more highlights each time you touch up. It will keep your hair much healthier in the long run.

My hair is changing color! Why?

My natural hair color is black but now when i'm in the bathroom i see brownish hair is this normal im a male and 12 (on my head i dont want you to think somewhere else) none of my family members have brown hair exsept for my mom because she dyed it. I dont hate it i just want to know why? Is it going to keep on changing this color for all my hair and i mean allmy hair not just my head. Please let me know!^_^

My hair is changing color! Why?

its natural dont worry

My hair is changing color! Why?

it could b a hair products the sun or maybe your hair is just dry

My hair is changing color! Why?

It is most likely hormonal. The hair on your head will sometimes change color in early adolescence because of all the changes you are going through. I'm not sure about if it will change elsewhere, I've never had the nerve to ask a guy about that.

My hair is changing color! Why?

if you go in the sun a lot it can naturally lighten your hair. no biggie

My hair is changing color! Why?

My hair does something similar to that, during the summer when I'm outside alot it gets lighter because of the sun. During the winter it gets darker because I'm not in the sun as much. Could it possibly be the sun that is making your hair lighter?

My hair is changing color! Why?

The change is probably due to puberty. It happens to people all the time. I had really bright blonde hair as a boy and the when I hit my teens it started to darken up a bit....not a big deal, no worries.

My hair is changing color! Why?

normally it is because of the sunlight or if you swim a lot. it could even be if you switched your shampoo recently. It should stop soon and it should only be your head.

My hair is changing color! Why?

yeah my hair is black too but if I go in a lot of light my hair looks lighter then it is...maybe the same thing is happening to you, or it could be too much products, dry hair, or dirty hair

My hair is changing color! Why?

Don't worry about them, they look brownish bcz of dryness put some oil into ur hair then u see that their is no brown hair in ur head.

My hair is changing color! Why?

its because of hormones. my hair was straight when i was 12 but its now slightly curly and I'm the only one in my family to have some curls and my friend's mum (a scientist) said that it was just hormones. so there's nothing to worry about

My hair is changing color! Why?

This is probably normal. I have blonde hiar and the rest of my family has dark brown hair. Maybe its a recessive gene that has been convered up by the darker hair color gene. I would not worry about it, its probably geneitc, however you got the rarer gene.

Manic Panic Hair Dye Question?

I have naturally light blonde hair, and I've done highlights in the past and lightening but this is pretty much my natural hair colour now.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a390/t...

Anyway, I always really wanted pretty much the lightest shade of bleach blonde hair you can get, the problem is, my hair naturally has this red tone to it, so when I bleached my hair it came out this horrid yellow colour.

I looked up Manic Panic's colours recently and saw "Virgin Snow," and read how it actually takes out that yellow colour.

So I'm wondering if anyone's tried this color before on their bleached hair and if it really comes out the way they claim it does? I'm really interested in using it if it does indeed take out that yellow colour after bleaching and makes it completely white.

Thanks [[:

Manic Panic Hair Dye Question?

Yes the Virgin Snow works great!! Ive used just about every color Manic Panic has put out and they are all wonderful!! The color you have now is perfect for Manic Panic right now, but if you want it lighter then youll have to bleach. Depending on your current or natural color you have to go through a couple or several different stages before you get that very light blonde shade. You dont have that far to go, try an ash tinted color to get rid of that brashy red color, or straight bleach then you should try the virgin snow, its designed to work on hair thats already lightened to the lightest possible color then it covers that yellow or brashy color but only when its not at an extreme color. Good Luck!! WWW.ManicPanic.com!!!!!!

Manic Panic Hair Dye Question?

You should talk to a professional.. They could tone your hair and take the yellow out.

Manic Panic Hair Dye Question?

hmmm yea you really should talk to a hair stlyist about that like really

Back to school coloring for hair?

The last time I colored my hair was in March, and I won't recolor until September. The last color I did was my second time (once before in March or so 2006) doing a black. Now, my hair is a really dark brown and I am pretty content with the color. I also have some blonde and red in the color from a combination of previous dye jobs, some strands not taking in the color, my natural hair color (dirty blonde), and the fuschia streaks I added to my hair which faded into a light red color.

I kinda want to keep the dark brown color, but also add chunky highlights or something. I want a natural hair color for the highlights, but I want it to be something that will look good and be something different than what I've done before.

Or should I just redye it a new color? I can possibly pull off some blondes, and reds fade too quickly, but any other color will probably look good on me. Half my friends liked the black I did, and another half said I should've gone lighter.

Back to school coloring for hair?

pink babe

Back to school coloring for hair?

brown looked really good on my friend who had dark brown hair, it made her look more.. pulled together, so I recomend black, just don't get an emo cut if you dye it black and don't want to be emo, and if you dye it dark with bright white/colored streaks, don't get a scene cut unless you want to be called scene.

Back to school coloring for hair?

becuz it's getting close to the first day of school I wouldn't dye your hair b-cuz of the conseqences, something might go wrong with the color and you'll be stuck like that at school.

try getting colored extensions instead. They say you should only go 2 shades darker or lighter than your natural hair color!

Back to school coloring for hair?

I think maybe any color you do will come out uneven. Maybe an unnatural red, which don't fade as quickly, and when they do, usually fade to either a nice fuschia and eventually bubblegum pink, or a nice orange...depending on the color. I just like red.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

My hair is blonde right now like medium blonde but my natural hair color is light/medium brown and i want to grow out my hair to its natural hair color without dying it again or doing somthing harsh to it. And without looking weird, whats the best thing to do? My hair is thick and healthy now and i want to keep it like that.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

Don't be afraid to colour your hair again. Hair colouring does not damage your have if done properly. Go to your local stylist and he will fix you right up. For dryness condition three times per week and rinse with cool water.

Cheers!!!

Mr. M on dyed hair,.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

patience, hair and nail vitamin formula, a healthy diet and enough sleep - but your hair will only grow so fast... so consider wearing hats if the line really bothers you that much.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

Choose a shade of Natural Instincts by Clairol that matches your natural hair color. Bleaching can damage hair, but Natural Instincts has no bleach. It washes out (gradually lightens) in 28 shampoos.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

if you get your hair professionally dyed they use the best and safest dyes. dye it your natural color and treat it with the best ingredients. i assume you do not want to dye again because your hair is looking dry and frizzy. just an assumption.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

there is nothing that can be done to not make it look weird by not coloring it. Unfortunatley you just have to put up with that, unless ou do color again, but there are temporary and semi-permanent colors, and choose the color that closet to the color it is and the natural color of your hair, if you do it right , and use a good conditioner or treatment conditioner you hair wont be ruined, but dont color too often cos that will dry out your hair and cause damage

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

Try coloring your hair your natural color all over. Color doesn't really damage the hair. Highlighting and over processing the hair damages it. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself only because it's harder for someone who doesn't do hair to match up the colors. People think "Well if it looks the same on the box as it does on my hair, than this will work." Not true at all. Color always turns out different on the hair than expected. There is a lot of chemistry involved in hair coloring. The point is, are you gonna know what to do with your hair if you mess it up? Sorry to tell you this, but there is nothing you can do to make your hair grow faster. Just keep it trimmed every six weeks to keep the ends from splitting so much. This might seem wierd, but try a beauty college if you don't have the money for a professional. I was constantly watched when I was in beauty school, because my teacher knew it was her reputation on the line also. All the colors I did turned out fine. Hope this helps. Good Luck to you.

How to grow out dyed hair? Help...?

You can have a demi hair color put in,it will wash out in about a month and will not effect your natural hair color,or have the bottom part of you hair dyed permanent a little darker to blend with the top part, don't get dye on the natural hair though. You can also keep getting trims every now and then to get rid of the dyed part. Just my opinion, but I think you should just go ahead and color it one more time ,a color closer to your natural hair color and then just let it grow like that, it will fade and be lighter, but I would just leave it alone after that andjust do the trims.

Is dying my hair bad?

my natural hair color is dark brown and i dyed it light brown i was wondering is it bad if i dye my hair only once cuz i bought the box and i dyed my hair on my own and the nest day i showered my hair felt nasty it felt dry but now its better cuz i ue this conditioner...any advice about dying ur hair like should keep doing it and every now and then is it ok to dye it

also i bearly have a few days with my har dyed can i re dye it again o do i have to wait until my color comes back

Is dying my hair bad?

Seriously, dying your hair kills it. It makes it unhealthy and it is prone to break. I have dyed my hair many times, because I thought it would look good and what-not. My hair began falling out and breaking, it caused bald-like patches. The cholrine in the dye strips your hair. A study posted in the WallStreet Journal said that some dyes can even lead to Cancer. Please becareful in doing it, and if you must, do it professionally. Goodluck.

Is dying my hair bad?

no it is not bad.

Is dying my hair bad?

dying it does damage it if you do it too much it will be fried!

dying ur hair once is ok...but it makes your natural hair color look faded if u over-use it. getting streaks once in a while is ok. remember, using any chemcial on ur body too much is bad.

Is dying my hair bad?

it's not bad to dye ur hair i dye mines 3 times and nothing happen to my hair and in order for it not to break out u have to take care of it. if u want to dye it another color than u have to wait until the color come out. nad if your dying it the same color wait until 2 weeks then dye it again.

Is dying my hair bad?

yes it is..it has harmful chemicals

Is dying my hair bad?

Putting any kind of chemical in your hair isn't exactly the best thing for it. And I know it's cheap and quick, but don't use drugstore box dye!! You don't get your hair cut there so don't buy your hair products there! But anyway, dying it isn't so bad. And chances are, you'll never have your natural color back unless you grow your hair out completly. I wouldn't dye my hair again right away. It's just not good for your hair. If you have a problem with the color, I'd go to a salon and have it done there. If your hair continues to feel dry, get a GOOD conditioner and when you wash your hair, leave the conditioner in for a few minutes longer than usual.

Some good clip-on hair extension stores...?

...preferably in the Glendale, CA area? ... I've tried looking on the internet for some but can't find the right store that has what I'm looking for.

I want hair extensions for color streaks because my hair is too sensitive to dye and I'd really love some color in my hair. ^u^

I'm overall trying to obtain more of the "scene" hair style and so I need to layer my hair even more, unfortunately it's kind of on the thin side as it is. My plan is to get a decent amount of short layers at the top and have my hair thin down at the bottom going through more layers; then I want to get some long extensions of my natural hair color and add them to the sides of my head along with those colored streak extensions...

So any ideas where I can find a store with those kind of extensions?... =)

This is pretty much how I want my hair, just longer and different colored extensions...

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

i have my friend dye my hair because right now i'm kind of on a tight budget and all hair salons around here charge $100+ for hair color.

i usually stay in the same shades medium brown-reddish. my natural hair color is dark dark brown.

i dye my hair probably once every 4-6 weeks and lately i noticed the top of my hair ALWAYS ends up lighter than the bottom of my hair [which makes sense because the hair dye spends more time on that part of my hair] so i was wondering if there's any way to avoid this?

can i dye the top of my hair first, then do the top?

any thoughts would help! thanks!

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

Start by putting the dye in at the ends and work your way up. Your roots will soak up the dye faster than the ends will. You can also put a heavy conditioner on any parts that you do not want dyed. That will prevent the dye from penetrating your hair.

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

If you are continually dying your hair as often as you say...you should probably only be doing touch ups at the roots only, therefore you will not be damaging your ends. make sure you trim slightly after for healthier hair.

PLEASE read if you have any experience regarding HAIR DYE.?

if you do the foils and start at the top, half way down you can take out the top and wash out, and then pull the top back with a clip while you do the bottom half, that way its not in too long

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

I am Black with natural hair (no relaxer) I get my hair straightened out sometimes and I use rollers in my hair at night at times. I use the satin rollers so it can not break my hair when sleeping. I like to flat iron and I like using it but trying to cut back as my hair is very healthy and I want to keep it that way. Some people use heat everyday and I see alot of people with breakage and bad hair. I am 28 years old my question is do people especially younger people still use rollers in their hair? I love the culring iron too but I think people should really look into that again. It takes me about 5 minutes now to roll my hair-I have become a pro! I get my hair straighetened with a pressing comb and some people don't that anymore either. Anyway I was just wondering I feel like I am the only one still doing that up here in Michigan. And do people sleep with the soft satin rollers in their hair at night?

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

I still use rollers, but not on my wet hair. I let my hair dry naturally then mist each strand lightly with distilled water before rolling. I leave the rollers in for about 10-15 minutes then I'm done. I used to use hot rollers when I was younger and they worked fine, but the curling iron is too damaging for my fine hair, especially now. I am 41 now and have to be more careful with my hair than when I was younger because has become more and more fragile over time.

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

well i don't put them in my hair at night but in the morning after i shower yeah i do and they workd and i love them!!

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

My Moms Always ......well OK not always but she still uses them !!!

In fact my nephew actually calls her NANNY CURLERS !!

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

Oh yes- So many people do- Don't staighten your hair; curl and wave is so beautiful! don't be like everyone else, be yourself!

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

I only did that as a kid b/c my mom made me....but the curls were great! I've often thought about doing that to my hair but thought of the uncomfortable sleep I would have and thought better. More power to you if you do it, it looks just as natural as those who have curly hair vs getting a perm

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

Who cares what others do if your hair is healthy. Congrats on keeping it that way.

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

yes of course they do

well i don't know about "them" but i do and im 16

i think its a great way to style your hair and keep it healthy.

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

i don't think so

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

I use hot rollers but no regular.

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

Well people have certainly gotten lazy and turned to hair products and curlers but I still thing that rollers are the best way to go, it doesn't break or damage your hair like everything else does. I'm a bit embarassed to wear them when other people sleep over though, then I turn to products. A lot of people still use them just almost nobody advertises it.

Do People Still Use Rollers in Hair?

People still do , One of my friends puts rollers in her hair for special occasions.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I dyed my hair strawberry blonde a couple hours ago and a few parts appear to still be my natural hair color, and the overall color isn't much different. My hair is blonde, so to my knowledge, it should've worked well. I made sure that all of my hair was covered by the hair dye.

-Why is it that it didn't work?

-Should I have left the dye in longer?

-Would you recommend getting it professionally colored? Is it expensive? (If it matters, I'm fourteen)

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Go get your hair professionally done, it shouldn't cost too much because it sounds like you just want a one process color. Take the box from the hair color you used with you. Be sure to tell the stylist how long you had the color in for and how recently you did it. Do not attempt to do it again by yourself because you may fry your hair. Also keep in mind that red is a very hard color to keep up with and maintain... but they will be able to recomend products to keep your hair from looking dull at the salon.

Good Luck!

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

do it again

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

How long did you leave it in for...maybe it wasnt long enough or you didnt add enough?

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

You prolly need to get it done professionally. They need to strip all of the color out of your hair...all of the pygmentation, then apply the strawberry blonde color for it to look good.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Read some useful hair colouring tips on this site to help you

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Well y dont u READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I have strawberry blonde hair(natural). Do you have dark hair? If so get it done professionally, either that or buy more of it and load it all on your hair.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

because you need strawberry with little bleach will stick your hair and yes it will take four and five hour to leave it alone also you need cap alot strawberry inside your cap while you watch tv or anything that can get your hair accpect through strawberry

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

Everytime before using the hair dye; it is recommended that you shampoo your hair without using the conditioner so that hair dye could penetrate to your hair strand well.

Bleach your hair again and then try to colour them and this time leave it longer probably a couple of hours. All the best.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

I'm a hairdresser instead of buying color in a box, have your mother take you to a beauty supply store and get color you have to mix with peroxide. Something like loreal preference. With a 20 volume peroxide just pick out the shade you would like. I'm sure someone there would help you . And it will only cost a few more dollars.

My strawberry blonde hair dye didn't work...?

did u have styling products in your hair? that can affect the way the dye is absorbed. also, if your hair is too oily the dye won't absorb.

there is usually an 800 number to call on the hair dye box. they can give you all kinds of ideas on what to do next. I've had to call before and it was an easy fix!! it can be expensive to get it professionally colored, especially if they have to remove color then re-color.

good luck!

Natural Redhead wanting to do lowlights myself at home. Need help!?

My natural hair color is light to medium red. As I've gotten older, my hair color has gotten lighter and less bright. I want to dye it darker, but maybe just in streaks, like lowlights. So...

~How do I find a shade that won't look too purple? (remember I'm buying this stuff at the local drugstore)

~How do I know where to place the lowlights?

Natural Redhead wanting to do lowlights myself at home. Need help!?

Hello. The best way to do streaks is with a frosting kit. La Petite is a very good one. ( I have been using this product for 5 years and no problems). First of all, be sure that whatever shade you try, that it is a ash color---like light ash brown or light ash brown-red. Remember, ash tones cut red, and red tones cut green (ashy colors). This is the best way to go if you are doing it yourself. Good Luck.

Natural Redhead wanting to do lowlights myself at home. Need help!?

You could go to a professional first and see whats the best shade for you or you can look at hair colr samples at the hair store and ask the hair store lady what would look best on you.

I always thought that people with natural red hair look pretty because its so unique. Like Linsey Lohan changed her hair color. I thought she looked better as a red head.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

I'm getting my hair cut soon. And i need a new idea for a haircut and hair style. I have blonde, pink and black in my hair right now. I'm thinking of dying my hair back to my natural hair color (blonde) and getting side bangs and dying the top, well more like the top layer, and my bangs black. Do you think it would look good if yes could you show me some pictures so i would have a better idea.?

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

I think it'd look good (:

But the idea of blonde with just black bangs would look really good if styled well. I don't have any "un-scene" pictures, though, sorry.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

Maybe have all your hair blonde, except an under layer of bangs a very dark brown or even burgundy.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

ew

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

no

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

wow that'll look hott but what about all brown with blonde tips at the end. it looks good with long hair tho.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

I think it will look wayy cuter.

if you get layers and get black underneath and blonde on the top and then get black streaks and leave your side bangs blonde..

you will look weird if you get black sidebangs.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

you'd look really hot with black hair and blonde side bangs.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

So basically, you want to look like a clown?

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

eww noo! no ofeensee!

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

Stick with the regular blonde and side bangs.....maybe a pink streak or two.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

Okay that sounds so wrong and weird. Don't ever do that are you out of your mind?

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

cool. i think it'd be different, but rlly cool

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

shave you head and have your new hairstyle tattooed instead. guys dig that look.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

no. do dark brown bangs. black is too harsh

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

it wouldnt be my first choice

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

that would be so discusting.

you dont even know how nasty everyone would think you are.

how about... plain blonde

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

I don't have a pic. but I think you should dye your hair back to your natural color and dye the ends of your bangs Pink or dye the ends of your hair.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

black bangs, i'm not sure maybe if u had black under layers it ur hair beneath the blonde, it might look cute then

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

if your trying to go back to your natural color then dying your top layer black isnt going to look natural at all.

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

these are the only ones i could find that is close to what you are looking for. Hope this helped

Blonde hair with black bangs.?

I think maybe it would look alright, but there are SO MANY people with that hairstyle and so many other hairstyles you could try. Maybe dye the top layer of your hair blonde fading into red or pink maybe? Or dye your hair normal blonde with platinum blonde streaks or something. Just try to be unique, I know lots of people with the black bangs/platinum hair thing, it's so popular and "scene" right now.

What hair color is right for me?

I recently chemically straightened my hair, and it is too fragile for me to continue bleaching it. Unfortunately, my roots are horrid, so I need to come up with a new plan of action. My natural hair color is dark blonde/light brown, so I was thinking of dying it that color. I have pale skin, so pretty much any hair color looks good on me. I am also considering a red shade. The only shades I want to stay away from are black and other extremes (i.e. pink, blue, green, etc.).

I think that I have a "cool" skin tone, but I'm not completely positive. My eyes are dark brown, but I'm torn over my skin's undertones. I think I have pink undertones, but in some places I see blue and in others yellow. My arms definitly have a yellow undertone, but we're focusing on my face, so that doesn't help.

Here is a picture of myself: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y162/kl...

What are my skin's undertones? What hair color is right for me?

Thanks in advance!

What hair color is right for me?

I'd go for an angluar hair cut that frames your face. They say shorter hair makes you look younger. A brunette or dark rich colour which would also help frame your face. The blonde you have now doesn't contrast well with your face. The best way to find out without damaging your hair is to use the iVillage makeover site. Upload your pic then experiment with hair and makeup. I get a kick out of it! LOL%26gt;

http://makeover.ivillage.com/makeover/in...

What hair color is right for me?

light mousy brown fo sho.

What hair color is right for me?

blonde or burnette

What hair color is right for me?

go with ur natural color

What hair color is right for me?

brown with blonde highlights

What hair color is right for me?

maybe long brown hair

What hair color is right for me?

A light brown would look good.

What hair color is right for me?

You need to leave it the way u like it but if it's to fragile to keep bleaching then you probably need to leave it the same way or remove wat you did to it if you can

What hair color is right for me?

Ok you need auburn color hair and get a perm for it to be curly it is sooo pretty! It will look good on you!

What hair color is right for me?

I hope you don't mind, but I did a virtual makeover. I think this haircut and color would look perfect on you. You would have to get extentions, but I think it fits your face wonderfully. Here it is:

http://makeover.ivillage.com/makeover/vi...

What hair color is right for me?

i think a red would look nice, or a brown with red highlights maybe

What hair color is right for me?

If you are going to Dye your hair go to a salon. that is your best bet. Your skins undertone is pink.

What hair color is right for me?

pInk undertones (on your face)

Caramel/chocolate hair. Make it yummy! Grow it just past your shoulders, wavy and thick. It will look great.

A閳绢櫑

p.s. Ill print out your description and read it tonight. lol

What hair color is right for me?

you're very lucky to have light skin because technically you can pull of any color...some will look better than others but you should be fine with most colors..

try a nice CHOCOLATE BROWN or a NATURAL LOOKING RED.

What hair color is right for me?

I would go for the color as close to your natural color as possible. Maybe a little darker. You can never go wrong with what God gave ya. As for your undertones, can't help you there. Since you say your skin is pale, I would not go with any dark colors. Good luck.

What hair color is right for me?

I think a medium brown would look great with your complection. Looks too light now. Darker will bring out your eyes more.

What hair color is right for me?

just leave it to grow back naturally to blonde

What hair color is right for me?

I would recommend you stay with your natural hair color dark blonde or maybe go to a dark brunette. Since your hair is so fragile you might want to keep it kind of simple. By dying your hair that color, you are also bringing out the color of your eyes. Your skin color would really bring out the hair color too. Hoped I helped you with the right color!

What hair color is right for me?

if your hair is fragile i wouldn't mess with it to much you can make your hair fall out that way what you can do is there are produce out that for chemically damaged hair you them for a few weeks then consider dieing your hair your normal color your any color really color i would stay away from like a bright red do like a blonde or a brunette stay light! and your undertone is a pink hue.

What hair color is right for me?

I think a light brown would be fitting for you...if your hair is already a bit damaged, I would suggest staying as close to your natural color as possible. You could get an auburn color...which I think would look really nice on you and compliment your face. Next, you want to go to a beauty supply store and stock up on hair products which are designed to help with chemically treated hair. There are a lotof good products out there, I like Hemp, Redken, and Biolage. Be prepared to spend a little bit on the products, though, because it will be worth it.

What hair color is right for me?

First, I would get my scalp treated and hair with B12 treatments.and thenthink about coloring.

From experience I will tell you you dont want to wake up 1 day and find your hair is turning to mush.

1 color with maybe second highlight I think the sites below will help

Good luck,

White hair!!!?

im only 25, and starting to get white hair. my natural hair color is black. what other methods are there to get rid of white hair/prevent getting white hair other than coloring it? any suggestions...traditional methods perhaps?

White hair!!!?

no way. i have tried just about everything. i am 27 and have a paych of grey on my left side in the front. i tried dying it. my natural color is reddish brown, so the stylist decied to dye it black because she sad it will cover the grey more. BS!!! the grey turned an orangish looking color and my hair turned black. so i just throw it back in a ponytail and forget about it.

White hair!!!?

pull them out!!!!!!!!!!!!

White hair!!!?

Lots of people think that premature gray (or white) is sexy.

White hair!!!?

ah i started white hair in second grade

chinese say that if you eat ground sesame, like you mix it with hot water, like when youre making hot chocolate, then your hair will become more black. it didnt really work on me, but it definitelly did for my dad

White hair!!!?

no methods aside from color. color is fine. i use just for men.

White hair!!!?

From where I came from having white hair is a sign of richness but havent heard of any other ways apart from dying your hair

White hair!!!?

i have a few friend who are getting white hairs very early. their natural color is black too. its mainly and asian characteristic and common in people with black hair. coloring would be the easiest if you dont want any white hairs.

White hair!!!?

its natural that people get white hair early in life. it has something to do with the environmental changes and life habits.better apply henna which is a natural remedy. there is no side effects. u can apply regular dyes, but that may be recommended only after ur marriage. because, it has many side effects

White hair!!!?

Leave it as it is cause it looks like u streak your hair.Black and white.I'm sorry I wish I can help u.

White hair!!!?

Remember, we are genetically gonna be just like our parents. If they greyed early, you will too. There's no other remedy besides coloring your hair, honey trust me, we hate too!

Try some Beigen get it at sally's. Mix with water %26amp; wait.

White hair!!!?

put a drop of neem oil in your nose the greying of hair gets reduced. use natural henna on head. u can also try out the products of ghanozi. they are herbal products

White hair!!!?

henna or color.

White hair!!!?

I don't think there are any.

However, maybe you can turn this to your advantage. If you're at a job, people may actually think you're a little older and more mature than you are and subconsciously give you more respect. Also, there's nothing like a nice grey/white helmet of well-styled "executive hair" to exude a sense of power! It's especially effective when coupled with a well-toned body and crisp suit.

If all else fails, console yourself with the fact that you're not bald. That's what happened to my husband when he was your age - his hairs started a race to see whether they could turn white or fall out first. (I couldn't care less, of course, but evidently not having a pelt of fur protecting his brain makes him feel less attractive.)

White hair!!!?

Don't fret! It's just a natural process, somewhat genetic. My Bro was BORN with a few white hairs and I myself (around your age) have quite a few! My chinese grandmother recommends black sesame. Buy the roasted kind, and they are great on toast with butter. Or, the indians seem to like coconut oil, it doesn't smell good, but i think it keeps your remaining black hair black for a while longer. If all else fails...just be confident! I don't recommend dying, it just spoils your hair texture, and if you don't maintain it, it will look even more unsightly. Just be thankful you have lovely healthy hair!

Dark hair dye is not changing my blonde hair..any ways to get it dark?

Are there any natural hair color or anything? I've heard of some things but Im not sure. My hair was light blonde-almost white and I dyed to dark dark brown and it turned grey. How can I get it to dark brown without having my hair fall out??

Dark hair dye is not changing my blonde hair..any ways to get it dark?

I would go to a professional if I were you. Don't try to dye it again on your own. While your hair probably won't fall out, it will become dry and brittle.

Dark hair dye is not changing my blonde hair..any ways to get it dark?

That is why hair stylists go to school and we go to professionals to do our hair.

Dark hair dye is not changing my blonde hair..any ways to get it dark?

Here is an excellent site with some wonderful options 4 U.

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

i dyed my hair black a couple weeks ago and i want to dye it back a reddish color and my natural hair color is dark brown. Is there any type of hair color that turns black hair into another color? thanks.

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

sorry black is extremly hard to get out.. its a hairdressers nightmare when someone needs black out of their hair unless they have the right products to do it which will be to srtip it out... then get it colored again...good luck!!

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

Right now the black color of you hair is a dye. You will have to strip your hair of the dyed color. Since your last dye job was only a couple of weeks ago this will be hard on your hair. I would suggest letting your hair have a rest before stripping it and dyeing it again. Hair can only stand so much abuse.

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

No the only way youll get rid of black color, is by stripping it, and you will need to either go to a pro hair supply, or go to a salon and get it done. Black hair dye is the worst to get rid of, that and red..It may take bleaching it.

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

uhm well.. i dyed my hair black..

you should of never did that.

i used bleach,, like hair bleach and it still didnt take out the black it kept turning my hair different colors like red orange yellow and then white in some places cause i tried bleachin it plenty of times.

finally afer a certain point, i let it grow out and then i cut it.

but nothing will dye over black.

if you color in a black marker or crayon, and color over it with another marker/crayon, you cant see that color.

black is impossible to dye over.

good luck

Is there any hair color that will dye OVER my black hair color?

Unless you either bleach it out first or use a hair-dye-removal product (such as Elimin 8), you really won't have much luck putting another color on top of the black as the black dye will still be in your hair.

Best, of course, to have a pro do it, as these processes can really damage your hair. But I've found that when going from a darker to a lighter color, using a highlighting kit -- even Revlon Frost and Tip, for example -- can go a long way toward achieving a lighter look at home.

Sall's does carry a high-lift brown product that might be worth a try. For some great firsthand knowledge of hair color products, go to makeupalley.com. I always find great info there.

My hair is going very thin at the front, Am i going bald?

I have a receeding hairline at the sides too but my barber said it was just my natural hair line. I dont look bald at all, my hair just feels so thin at the front and when i brush my hand through my hair, some hair always comes out. Any advice?

My hair is going very thin at the front, Am i going bald?

Men's hair naturally recedes with age. Hair recession and male pattern baldness are different though. If it's just a higher and more defined hairline, I wouldn't be too worried. If your hair starts to thin all over, you might want to cut it differently or go bald.

My hair..how should i get it cut?

i want to get my hair cut. i have quite tan skin and green eyes. atm my hair is blonde but has regrowth. my natural hair colour is brown. what should i do with my hair. what colour should i go for? its summer here in australia so mabey a blonde or go for a light colour? i want it long and heapz layerd but what do you guys think?

xo

My hair..how should i get it cut?

one thing i have noticed that blue and green eyes tend to pop more against brown vs blonde

so i would say go brown. It will make ur green eyes more appealing and noticed.

My hair..how should i get it cut?

Brown color Blonde/Brown highlights

Layered hair

My hair..how should i get it cut?

if i were you i would cut it verrry short , but girly short. try a sassy bob cut or a simple ear length cut.

My hair..how should i get it cut?

ive got long hair thats layered and its perfect for the australian weather( i live in aus too) , cuz it allows ventilation especially in the hot weathers here. I deffinenetely recomend long and layered, as for color, what about your natural hair color or a warm shade of coffee brown? its always nice to have a transformation and from what ive seen most blondes look meggawatts gorgeous when they go brunette! goodluck

My hair..how should i get it cut?

Long and layered will be great. As for color, all the rage seems to be back to brunette. If you want to follow the trends, go a lighter brown and add some high and low lights. Otherwise, go blonde with lighter blonde highlights. as always, ask your stylist! Have fun!!

My hair..how should i get it cut?

I think a Bob might work for you, without any pics it would be hard to say, perhaps one of these styles.

How can i get my hair to look like this? (pics)?

well.... im not sure how to answer that one! but..... why would you want it like Vannessa Hudgens? shes ugly! and so is her hair!No offense! please dont take this the wrong way! but...if you really want it like that, then...go to like Sally's or some other hair store and ask them! :]

How can i get my hair to look like this? (pics)?

Try extensions but get the good ones ie not cheap.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time.

my natural hair color is brown and i cant get that color back... my hair is medium length and ive died it bleached it and killed it! what can i do to revive it? make it grow? get my color back!? im done with hair dyes... just in a few months i want to dye it dark brown so it looks natural... should i??? what do i do!? omg ive nvr been so desperate

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

Get a shampoo called Infusium 23.

Walmart has it for 5or 6 dollars. My sister in law had your exact problem. This is the only thing that worked.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

Spend the big bucks this time and have it done at a salon. Then, use DOVE Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Rinse to keep it from drying. Avoid using a hair dryer if at all possible. If it's really dry from dying, you can have moisture treatments done at a salon- Fantastic Sam's only charges 10 $ for this.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

die it as close to your natural color as possible, and deal with it until its all grown ou(cutting every few months) OR go get it professionally fixed, but im not sure what they could do.you are gonna have to dye it, or shave it(and im sure you dont want to do that)

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

i would go to a salon and get a hair mask and then have it professionaly re-dyed

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

just leave the hair and don't mess with it anymore, let it grow out and then when it has grown enough cut the screwed hair out and then get professional help next time you try to dye it :)

Ask ME

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

ok calm down its just hair. it will take a WHILE to get your natural hair color back. id say get it as close to your natural hair color as possible. if its all fried and dried out or w/e use olive oil on it which sounds really gross but itll make it look healthier.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

unless your hair is dead dead as in falling out dye it real dork brown and blow dry it dont ever leav eit wet blow dry it use blow dryers and use deep conditioning trust me ive gone through dis 2 ... godd uk :]

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

CUT IT ALL OFF!! j/k just dye it your original color

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

Time is what you need, your hair is not going to jump back to where it was in the begining. You have used too much chemical on it and you just need to do some hot oil treatments and let it rest. Your hair is probably very dry. I would suggest you see a professional hairdresser next time you want to do something to your hair. People who take it upon theirselfs to color their hair and not know what they are doing as in knowing what base color to use will more than likly occur in some type of problem. My mother is a hairdresser and she just cringes at people who think she is a magician~shes a beautician. I hope you can figure it out with out any hair loss. Good luck.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

I have brown hair, too, and accidentaly dyed it PURPLE BLACK! fortunately it was a semi-perm colour, but oh well...after so much shampooing the purple is still there. now, it's brown/purple. nice.

I died my hair more than a couple times this year, not for fun, because i screwed up the first time....?

well for one...since you bleached it that has to grow out and be cut off...i would suggest to go see a stylist and pay a few bucks to get a smile back on your face...there is hope...you would have to put a filler on your hair so the color has something to grab...after that you would have to periodically go and get a retouch done and get it trimmed everytime also...you will have to eventually have the bleached out hair cut away and that will take some time...quit the home remedies because obviously that isn't working for you...after all that is ALOT OF PATIENCE...you can get your natural back...when getting a color at salon you should get as close to you natural you can that way you can eventually stop the retouches....good luck

How do I make light permanent hair dye fade faster?

My natural hair color is a dark reddish color, almost brown. This spring I put a light red permanent hair dye on it. I love the color it is just that I want it back to my natural color. I have tried using baking soda, tar dandruff shampoo, and deep deep conditioning. I would like my hair color to be back to the natural color by the first of August. Could someone please help me?

How do I make light permanent hair dye fade faster?

if you put a light permanent color on your darker natural color, the pigment in the hair has been lifted off and gone, as is the lighter red color you put in. You'll have to wash some color in your hair. You can wash it with hair color that is the same as your natural color. If you must buy it from the store, apply the product in your hair wet (make sure it's wet!!) mix the color product with shampoo and just massage it in completely and let it stay for no more than 15 minutes and wash gently.

For Pete's sake don't use baking soda in your hair ever again!!!

How do I make light permanent hair dye fade faster?

I guess you could go and dye it back to your nautural colour and it will be fine for the re-growth.. ?? i dont think anything really changes your hair colour, although i know sun makes it go light but you dont want it any lighter aye ..lol... ummm soo keep out of the sun?? :P good luck xx

How do you lighten dark hair?

My hair colour right now is medium to dark brown, but im a natural blonde and im so sick of having to do my roots. I use herbatint hair colour which is an all natural hair dye, and i want to know how i can go back to blonde or even a red blonde using Herbatint hair dye...any help would be greatly appreciated!

How do you lighten dark hair?

stay in the sun alot and get highlights or dye it all it worked for me

How do you lighten dark hair?

just go to a salon and have them strip your color off. wither that, just dye your using a nother color similaur to your natural.

How do you lighten dark hair?

since you have color in your hair already, you would have to have your hairdresser strip the color out and apply a color that is like your natural. even if you remove the color you put in, your natural is not hiding under there. your hairdresser will have to apply a color that is like your natural. its not difficult, but make sure a proffesional does it. when its done, ask for a clear to be put over to help lessen any fading.

When hair dye wears off will you get strands of gray hair?

I've heard that if you dye your hair and when the dye wears of you will get some gray hair(s) in your natural hair color.

I dont know if this is true or not. Please try to back up your answers with proof or something. thanks.

When hair dye wears off will you get strands of gray hair?

YES; the FIRST THING 2 Show Will Be Grey Hair if you had Some 2 BEGIN With ! !

When hair dye wears off will you get strands of gray hair?

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

ok so last night i highlighted my hair and now mostley ALL of mi hair is blonde my natural hair color is dark brown but i have different colors of blonde in mi hair i have some copper caramel and platnum and some honey and the rest is dark brown / light brown but if i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think all of the blonde in mi hair will turn medium blonde and not some other messed up color??! THX

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

dont be a fake blonde...it looks trashy..be a natural brunette!!its hotter

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

it will look lighter and darker in some areas because of your highlights. but sounds like it will turn out nicely.

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

Its not going to turn all the same. If you trying to get it all one color try going brown for awhile the go blonde..

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

I think itll turn out to be looking AWESOME!!!

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

Check the back of the box and it should give you some pics showing the results that it has on different hair colors.

If you die ALL your hair and not just highlight, it should be fine.

Good luck!

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

if you bought the good hair dye from like sally's then you should be okay. if you got it from the store it's likely to turn orangish.

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

Ahhh you might want to go to a hairdresser and get the colour toned. It will make all your hair colour the same everywhere only for 10 bucks. So you can make it the blonde or the honey or lightbrown that you have.

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

Well you could start by putting a toner on your hair first, i think it strips most of the old color out of your hair so the new color will cover more evenly.

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

ot will look ok

If i dye mi hair meduim blonde do you think it will turn out??!?

hey well your hair will not be even blonde because of your different cloloures in your hair... your hair could even turn green because of the different pigments so if you would like to have even bond I would say you should go to a hairdresser. I know a lot about coloring hair because I'm a hairmodel...

well wish you luck

Permanent hair dye?

my natural hair is dark brown and i dyed it red. the red has faded to a light brown inside but still red outdoors. do you know if it will continue fading or if i have to wait for it to grow out all over? It's permanent. Also, if i re-dye my hair my color, will it really damage it bad? my hair is already dry from this dye. One last thing, is it possible for your hair to come out a different color than it was naturally?

Permanent hair dye?

you can dye it again but you should follow up with a hair treatment like greentea treatment at sally s beauty supply i love that stuff! i dyed my hair for like two years stright over and over again i dont reccomend stripping the color out so if you are gonna go dark you have to stick with it .dye it as close to your natural color as possible and just let it grow out ok :)

Permanent hair dye?

trust me, it depends what u did to the hair. permanent hair dye isnt completely permanent, its just more permanent than the rest of it. and trust me, take it from a kid whos dyed his hair itll wash out in the end. no matter if it is permanent or semi-permanent or not. lol. so just have fun with it till its gone.

Permanent hair dye?

No matter how permanent the dye is, it still will continue to fade. If you want to re-dye your hair, wait at least 6 weeks, that way you give your hair some time so it won't damage as bad. If your hair is extremely dry, try getting a conditioning hair mask or treatment from any target or any other drug store. They have great ones for $5-$20.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I recently dyed my hair JET BLACK. I loved it for while, but now I'd prefer to have my brown hair back. How long should I wait until I re-dye it? And I've looked at drugstore hair dyes that are specifically for "dark hair" that lighten your hair. I've used it in the past on my natural hair and it was fine, but the package says that they don't suggest using it on hair that has been dyed a color darker than dark brown (which I just did). Should I still re-dye my hair??

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

HI, I dyed my hair jet black once also and after a month didn't like it anymore, so i tried to dye it back to a brown and....that was not a smart idea my hair turned an orangish color and i ended up having to have them fix it at the hair salon. They say Red and Black are the hardest colors to dye , I would definately suggest going to a pro to re dye your hair...

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Unfortunatley, no. It will ruin your hair, and damage it. It may look bad for a few weeks, but just wait because you shouldn't risk your hair to re-dye it. It will also eventually grow out. And If you are desperatley needing to change it I would wait 2-3 weeks and give your hair a break and go dye it to the color you want. I would also go to a hair stylist and ask to fix it.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I hate to tell you this but hair color will not lift hair color. Black is the hardest color to lift up and out. The only thing that will lift it is bleach. The color black is made up of a lot of different colors, it has red, orange, yellow. You would have to bleach your hair until you got to the level of brown you wanted and by pass the reds. If you really really want to do this please go to a professional. It is a extremely tricky thing to do by yourself, lookat it this way if you try to do this yourself and really mess it up you are going to have to go to a shop anyway and spend double the money.

Good Luck

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

it wont take good you have to wait till your hair grows out

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Hair dye can not lift artifical color out of the hair. The black dye will have to be lifted from your hair with a low volume bleach. Loreal sells one at drug stores called the "Artifical Haircolor Remover Kit", but i suggest you go to a professional.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

if you put a color over the black it won't do anything,it will still be black. The only way to get the black out is to use hair color remover and that is very damaging. You should just let the black grow out, keep trimming your hair to get rid of the black.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

How recently did you dye it? Give it a few weeks before you try anything too harsh on it. My hair wouldn't let go of the black for a whole year and it was semi permanent! My hair stylist told me that a good way to get color out was to use Dawn dish soap on it. But this will dry out your hair so I would wait. She told me this after mine had been dyed a few months so I don't know if it would help on freshly dyed hair. Just thought I'd tell you what she told me.

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

I have a little bit of hair on my upper lip, I'm not really into the whole waxing, shaving, etc. thing so I was wondering if I bleach my facial hair would it look natural or weird? My natural hair color is black brown. (I'm not a male by the way.)

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

It's a hormonal thing.

If there's not too much of it, do you really need to do anything? Most guys are OK about women with, for example, a slight moustache.

If you do decide you have to do something, then there isn't a simple answer and there's a lot of misleading "information" around.

Facial (and also body) hair on women comes about in the same way as on men because of

1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

Steer clear of bleaching -- when someone sees you against the light you'll look as if you have a glowing moustache and/or beard.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it. Long-term use of waxing also causes bad wrinkles.

* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration and in any case only works effectively on a dark hair/light skin combinantion.

* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). Most women who try a men's Norelco wonder why nobody ever told them about it before.

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

Probably the most sensible idea. If it develops into a heavier moustache you can always consider your options then. Report It

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

i think it depends on your skin color. If your fair skinned you will get away with it but slightly warmer and it will just show up more. be brave and go for the wax or put a warm towel over the area then just pluck a few out

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

Sounds like I'm a similar complexion to you. I used to use Jolen bleach when I was younger and it did make it a lot less visable. However, as I got older I became more and more self-conscious of it, and so I use a gentle hair removing cream designed for the face now.

Does bleaching facial hair look awkward?

nope, i use hair bleach most of the time

Qhemet Biologics for relaxed hair?

I heard that qhemet biologics(http://www.qhemetbiologics.com) hair products really work good for moisturizing your hair, but all the comments i read about it...all the women have natural hair, and i have relaxed hair. So i wanted to know if i would get the same results if i have relaxed hair, or if anyone with relaxed hair used these products before, what were your results?

Qhemet Biologics for relaxed hair?

i've used the sidr tree w/great results. i'm relaxed.

Curling hair with hot rollers?

My hair is naturally very coarse and frizzy. I straighten it most of the time. But I am going to a wedding next month and want to try experimenting with hot rollers and maybe having some big, soft curls.

But if I curl what is my natural hair, I feel like the curls will be all coarse and ratty, not sleek and shiny. Should I straighten my hair first and then curl it? Or will the curls not hold at all once my hair has been straightened? (in addition to a flatiron, I also use anti-frizz serum). Any tips are appreciated!

Curling hair with hot rollers?

I have naturally curly hair and I use both hot rollers and a large curling iron when I want big soft curls. With my hair, the hot rollers seem to take some of the frizz out, so I use them first, brush it and smooth it out, then use the curling iron to put curls back in. It's time consuming and more trouble than I would go to on a daily basis, but for special occasions it looks nice. Experiment a little and see what works best for you.

Curling hair with hot rollers?

my best friend has really ratty, tight curls. she uses a big barrel curling iron on her hair and gets loose soft curls. she has tried hot rollers before and had bad results; you don't have as much control over hot rollers as you do over a curling iron.

Curling hair with hot rollers?

since you have some time why not experiment and see what works..everyone's hair is different

Curling hair with hot rollers?

maybe you should try a chemical relaxer to soften the texture and give you more styling options. it will be easier to maybe wet set your hair for tighter curls or use hot rollers or curlers to get the softer curls you want. remember to use a setting lotion and/or hair spray to help keep the curls in tact.

Curling hair with hot rollers?

I would straighten it, use anit-frizz, then use a wet set liquid similar to holding spray and those long curlers that can bend and twist. Those are great when trying to do spiral curls. Usually they can be found at Sally's or small independent beauty supply stores. Good luck!

Curling hair with hot rollers?

I have the same problem don't use hot rollers your hair will curl but it will end up looking like a birds nest. Try straightening your hair and then curling it with a 1 INCH CURLING IRON. If you have the time try doing this every day so your hair will get use to the heat of the curling iron. This will train your hair to go the way you want it over time and you will have your big soft curls like you want.

Curling hair with hot rollers?

if u use frida anti frizz on your hair that would really work also try to use those shampoos that say for sleek and shiny like (garnier) hair that will smooth your hair, but id recommend putting the anti frizz first and some shiny serum on ur hair and then put the hot rollers, dont try straightinent first because the curls wont stay cuz the hair has already been flattened

Curling hair with hot rollers?

If you're using hot rollers or very large Velcro curlers you could definitely straighten your hair first and it wouldn't effect the curl. Here are some step by step tips
