Tried carol's daughter hair products!?

i have natural hair - (no relaxers, hot combs, straighteners, curling irons...none of that for me), and i have been natural for the past two years.

i LOVE my hair natural and the texture is amazing because all these georgous curls are coming into formation and i love it!

however, i am thinking about switching hair products. i use hempz shampoo and conditioner, and i use ellin lavar styling products. i need something a little more hydrating for my curls.

have you tried carol's daughter!? im interested.

**please post only if you have information about "carol's daughter products"**

THANKS in advance!

Tried carol's daughter hair products!?

I went natural two years ago as well. What a coincidence. For the first year or so, I had a little hair growth and found it difficult to find a moisturizing, hair detangling shampoo and conditioner. But, I made every effort to take care of my hair. I wore silk rags, used Carol's Daughter, tried Giovanni, and did conditioner washes. Carol's Daughter hair milk is good, but my hair wouldn't grow pass my ears and my curls would not become defined. I have more coarse hair.

One day, one of my girlfriends, washed my hair with a Beauty 4 Ashes GodHead Silky Smooth All-Natural Shampoo. I immediately noticed a difference in my hair texture. My hair was softer, easier to comb, and more manageable. My curls were defined and, for lack of a better word, more separated. I couldn't believe it. I decided to try the shampoo and conditioner myself. I use them religiously. In one month, my hair grew 1 1/2 inches and because my hair is very coarse, having softer hair that grows was unheard for me. You can order it from www.discoverb4a.com. Go under the ethnic hair care section.

Hair color.?

I have very dark brown hair with blondish highlights. I don't like my highlights so i'm thinking of dying my hair. Should i dye all my hair a light choclate brown or should i just match the highlights to my natural hair color. I Don't like my color that much.

Hair color.?

When it comes to all of that I suggest going to a hair stylist. Sure you can do it yourself, but they should know what is the best option to take. I would say match the highlights closest to your natural color so that your hair isn't 20 different colors. That way it when the highlights fade out you can start all over new, although your hair may not be the same exact natural color for awhile. Good luck!

Hair color.?

hihglights with natural hair trust me i know your beutifull

Hair color.?

Well, if you're going to dye your hair then you should definately change colour and not just dye it your natural colour if you don't like it. Light chocolate brown would be very nice indeed. =]

Hair color.?

I have the same coloring. It is very difficult to go blond successfully. I used a semi permanent coloring(Natural Instincts). Their website can help you find the right color. I went darker brown and love it. I walk around like i'm Angelina Jolie or something. I will never fool aroung with trying to lighten my hair again.....after all, I was meant to be a brunette.

Is my hair color too light???

so i had my hair done on friday...i decided to put streaks in my hair..and this was my first time to color it..so i was pretty nervous..well i wanted to put dark brown streaks in my hair...but my aunt said that the color may not show as much because it will blend in with my natural hair color...so she made the color lighter..now i have a light sort of caramel streaks in my hair...

i think i look kind of wierd..because everyone says i look better with darker colors..does the color look alright..or do i look wierd and or should i change it?

heres a pic..where you can see me in the light

i look kind of orange because the light was really bright...LOL

Is my hair color too light???

i love the way your hair was cut! the warm honey shade compliment your skins warm pink undertones nicely.

if you want to change it, go for a dark chocolate brown like this http://www.britishsupermarketworldwide.c... wait until this grows out a bit so your hair won't go fried.

hope this helps!

I think it looks good. You just gotta get use to seeing yourself with the lighter streaks in your hair. I see nothing wrong with them.

Is my hair color too light???

I think it looks great!

Is my hair color too light???

being that you are of Asian decent you have what is considered as being blue/black hair color. From what I could see from the picture, the high-lights are way too light for your natural base color, go tell your auntie that she needs to tone you down with a level 5.3 toner. It will gradually fade and change as the weeks go on from shampooing it. You can certainly weave your hair if you want change, just keep your colors within their neighboring shades.

Is my hair color too light???

it looks great!

Is my hair color too light???

Well, your hair is black or a dark brown so you should have just left it a solid color or you could have streaked/highlight the whole hair instead of just a couple of streaks because when you only add a couple of highlights onto dark hair, it doesn't look as nice as doing the whole hair. If you wanted to put highlights in your hair then maybe you should dye your whole entire hair a medium or light brown and then make the highlights more of a golden blonde or a dark blonde. Something like this would look nice, you don't have to have this haircut but the color combination is what would fit best together when highlighting because it makes your hair look more natural: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2059/1564...

Is my hair color too light???

omg your soo pretty.....

and i love your hair like that..you shouldnt change it at all

and you take really beautiful pics..=]

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

My natural hair color is this very blah dark blond color.. I dyed them jet black and now looking to add more color..

I would like a dark eggplant color ..

If I dye them dark eggplant from a box what will it turn out as?

I dont want to strip my hair and in no way do I have means to go see a professional hair stylist..

Also it would take years to have them grow back my naturla hair color and I dont even like it so..

What will it turn out like if I dye them dark auburn/eggplant over balck hair with some natural brown highlights and roots?

thanks

p.s. I know my hair is a mess lol

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

That would be kool

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

never use a store bought color for something off beat only in desperate measures find a pro %26amp; pay the cost

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

Just don't hang out by the produce section - someone may try to place you in their cart.

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

it might be worth waiting and saving your money until you can go to a professional salon. My grandmother used to dye her own hair and once ended up turning it bright blue! (not on purpose, lol... I think she was shooting for auburn.) Anyway, things can turn out way different than you want them to, especially when you're dying hair that's already been dyed. Best take it to the professionals!

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

sounds cooool

What if I dye my black hair eggplant color?

your hair is not a mess but I will give you a few simple rule for hair coloring at home... if your hair is tinted already remember that artificial color/tint will not lift any other artificial color.... so applying eggplant over black is a waste of a perfectly good color... BUT... if you are daring and have a friend to help you you could always do a french fluff first... this is how... first shampoo your hair and rinse to remove any oil or product now whith your hair still wet take a mixed solution of off the scalp bleach like Clairol or Wella and mix a few scoops of bleach powder in a large hair color applicator bottle with 1/4 20 volume hydrogen peroxide and 3/4 water with a few good squirts of shampoo... put the lid on and put your finger over the applicator hole and mix gently until all the bleach powder is dissolved... then apply this quickly all over your head and then begin to shampoo it gently into your hair... have your friend keep an eye on it and as soon as it looks even the slightest bit red take it off by rinsing thoroughly and then shampooing again with regular shampoo, rinsing and then using a light conditioner to detangle it.. lightly towel dry and blow dry on a low heat setting before applying desired eggplant tint...

it's pretty involved so if you don't think that you can handle it see a professional

good luck

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

I went through a phase when I first permed my hair then went blond. After torturing my hair, I came full circle only to appreciate my beautiful natural hair color. People today are artificial hair color happy! Streaks, 2 tones... Yuck. God gave us such beautiful natural color... I just wish everybody would see that!

I saw a 12 or 13 year old boy with a total hair-dye job with the streaks... Just stupid!

There is just no substitute for a great cut with beautiful natural colored hair!

Don't get me started on shaved eyebrows that have been magic Sharpied-back-in!

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

Yes, I totally agree with you. I had been coloring my hair since I was about 12 or 13. I was made to feel that I was not good enough or pretty enough the way I was with my natural hair color, which is medium ash brunette. I was light blonde all through high school and into my mid 20's, I'm now 36 and up until recently had been dying my hair red. I started letting my natural hair color grow out, I had most of the red cut off and then had the red ends dyed back to brunette,it's not totally my natural color, but everything blends good enough to where I don't have to color anymore. My hair was so ruined from all dye . Natural hair is so much prettier and healthier then chemically altered hair. You can not do better then what God gave you. I'm tired of seeing all the blonde stripes and chunks in the hair and the yellow dry hair with dark roots. I hate those make over shows where they say "You NEED to color your hair." I HATE that!

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

ahhah i agree! i hate people who dye their hair blonde from black or dark brown...ICK roots

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

True, we all can't have what we want, right?

We have to learn to appreciate what we have and what we were born with.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

no

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

yes yes true. i feel 8 out of 10 people are using colour.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

yeah

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

even i have noticed that even my maid's son colours his hair!(he should be 14 yrs)i also understand that it is an expensive process.i wonder where he gets the money?people in the name of fashion really torture their hair-perm,straighten,curl,colour,bleach,... oil,steam...oh!!!pooor poor hair.i say just leave it free unless really needed any treatment.

Do you think that people today use too much hair color?

i hear you! i love my color! it's a carmel color kinda. it's blondish brownish. light brown. be happy with the color god gave you! if god wanted you to be a red head then you would be a red head~! but. i do pluck my eye brows now and then.lol. sorry! but anyway. i still think your right! why do people do this! what is going to be the next craz??? wearing green lipstick with blue hair!?!?!?

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

my hair gets soo frizzy after i shower, and it won't stay straight (which is my natural hair style.. or it was my natural hair =[...) should i stop tie-ing up my hair? curling my hair?

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

this happens to my hair ALL the time, and it makes me SO freakin' mad. all i do is use some lotion. make sure u dont put 2 much if ur hair is greesy like mine. but this will take away ANY fly aways and Frizzyness and curls! Good Luck閳?br>

i would reccomend using a non scented lotion. but u can find some lotions that smell really good in hair, so u could use those. i use Malibu Hemp lotion it smells tropical. its in a BIG brown (see through) bottle

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

heres a tip!

when you get out of the shower, blow dry your hair and when its dry, use a smoothing serum (try aveda.com) or ask your stylist for one! it smooths your hair and makes it extra soft!

%26lt;3

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

just use a little quantum of hair remover, and hold the other end of your hair. now take shower. do not worry about tir-ing ,cutting.problem solved.

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

Wash your hair as usual, and towel dry, before adding some straightening serum. I use Loreal one, the one in the pink bottle, but only use a small walnut sized blob, and apply to the ends of your hair, not the roots because that makes it greasy. Then blowdry your hair as you would normally straighten it, by tying up most of your hair and doing it layer by layer, and using a brush to keep it straight while you're blowdrying.

How can you soften your hair and keep it straight without using a straightener?

oh ya that happens to me too. i just use my fav hand lotion after drying with a hairdryer or towel, after a shower. just take some on your fingertips not much and sweep your hands through ur hair.its makes it shiny and nonfrizzy

Naptural Black hair help me?

I've been trying to grown out my relaxed but it seems like the more that is grown out the more damaged it gets so i moved up getting the BC to next month. My hair naturally is very coarse 4A and i really want to use products on my hair made for curly hair that doesn't include mineral oil or petroleum. Can anybody suggest something? I've heard that Mixed Chicks, Cream of Nature, Nubian Heritage ( but i can't find anywhere even on the internet that sells their hair care) and even Knotty Boy (for dreadlocks) works good in natural hair but i don't know for sure. Does anybody have any suggestions on good quality products?
